Electrical Package Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Engineer to join our team at TRS Staffing Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EPC projects and be able to work on a contract basis in Hampshire/Surrey.

Key Details:

  • Contract Basis: Outside IR35
  • Hybrid Working
  • Working a 9 day fortnight

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and review electrical engineering specifications and drawings for assigned equipment and systems.
  2. Select, size, and specify electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, motors, etc.) based on process requirements and applicable codes.
  3. Perform electrical load calculations and ensure power distribution systems meet capacity demands.
  4. Conduct cable tray and raceway design, ensuring proper routing and adherence to safety codes.
  5. Develop and implement electrical grounding and lightning protection strategies.
  6. Participate in equipment selection and review vendor proposals for electrical equipment.
  7. Collaborate with process engineers to integrate electrical systems with process equipment.
  8. Support project planning and scheduling for electrical package activities.
  9. Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for electrical equipment.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of electrical safety procedures.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Package Engineer to work on a contract basis with a globally leading EPC company.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in EPC projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Ability to work on a contract basis
