Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electricians Mate to join our team at Valoris Group, a leading company specializing in Solar PV Installations across the UK. As an Electricians Mate, you will assist our lead electricians with the installation of solar panels and batteries, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead electrician with solar panel and battery installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform cable routing and running, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Mount and connect solar inverters and batteries, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Make electrical connections as required, using precision instruments and techniques.
  • Work closely with the installation team on day-to-day operations, maintaining a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Conduct pre-installation work prior to full solar installations, including site assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Maintain a tidy workspace and respect customer properties, adhering to our company's high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Essential: Background in electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
  • Preferred: Experience with solar PV installations, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proficiency with power and hand tools, including specialized equipment for solar panel installation.
  • Must hold a valid driving license, with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel, with flexibility to work at various locations across the UK.
