We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Mailroom Assistant to join our team at the University Partnerships Programme.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, sorting, and distribution of mail and parcels to students and staff.
As a Mailroom Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for many students and staff, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all correspondence is handled professionally and promptly.
Key Responsibilities- Securely receive, sort, and distribute mail and parcels to students and staff
- Maintain accurate records and registers, both manual and computerized
- Provide timely notifications to residents and staff regarding incoming mail and parcels
- Ensure the working environment remains tidy and well-organized at all times
- Offer prompt and effective assistance, information, and advice to students and staff
- Support reception duties as needed
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Previous experience in a service delivery environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to remain calm under pressure and manage time effectively
While not essential, previous experience working within a team, health and safety awareness, and basic data interpretation skills would be advantageous in this role.
Estimated salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum.
