Job Title: Defence Safety Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Defence Safety Consultant to join our team at Searchability NS&D. As a Defence Safety Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping our clients manage their systems safety within the land domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical analysis of designs and processes to develop safety strategies
  • Understand and interpret safety and engineering risks
  • Manage safety artefacts, including safety management plans, hazard logs, and safety case reports at platform or system level
  • Deliver safety, technical evaluation, and certification artefacts
Requirements:
  • Understanding and application of safety standards, such as Defence Standard
  • Experience generating Safety Assessment Reports, developing proposals, and providing technical assurance
  • Knowledge and awareness of other Defence safety disciplines (Ordnance, Munitions, and Explosives, for example)
  • Experience of conducting/supporting safety-related assessments, such as HAZOP, FMECA, ZHA, FTA, and ETA
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, including Defence Safety Authority suite
