Job Title: Accounts Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Senior to join our team at TPF Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients in Eastbourne.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounts preparation, with experience in managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality services. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing sole trader accounts, personal tax returns, company accounts, and corporation tax returns, as well as providing VAT advice and compliance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients to deliver high-quality services
  • Prepare and review sole trader accounts, personal tax returns, company accounts, and corporation tax returns
  • Provide VAT advice and compliance services
  • Coach and train junior staff to improve their knowledge and skills
  • Develop skills in key areas such as Xero and other cloud-based systems
  • Undertake wider practice activities as required
  • Communicate with the team on any issues or findings
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with clients and colleagues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 23 years post-AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Experience in accounts preparation in an accountancy practice
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage your own workload and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills with an investigative nature
  • IT literacy and ability to use MS Excel and Word
