HGV Technician

We are seeking a skilled HGV Fitter to join our team at Kinaxia Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles, equipment, and assets are serviced and maintained in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Complete all defect repairs, fault diagnosis, and maintenance requirements to ensure all vehicles, trailers, and equipment are kept in a safe working condition;
- Assist colleagues when necessary to maintain an efficient service;
- Complete all paperwork clearly, accurately, and in a timely fashion, including job cards, inspection forms, and other necessary documents;
- Prepare, present, and accompany vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection to ensure they pass;
- Carry out periodic safety inspections on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet DVSA inspection standards;
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards, including the wearing of appropriate PPE, and ensure compliance with regulatory body regulations and standards;
- Maintain all areas of the workshop and equipment in a safe operating condition and report any defects through the appropriate process.
- A mechanical qualification is essential;
- Transport industry experience is desirable;
- Continued up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance rules and regulations;
- Continued up-to-date knowledge of latest techniques, technology, and vehicle models;
- The ability to implement technological knowledge into practice;
- Organisational and time management skills;
- Dedication and reliability;
- Experience of maintaining HGV vehicles;
