About the Role:

This position involves maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
  • Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of seven years experience as a certified refrigerant technician.
Certificates and/or Licenses:
  • Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems; process controls; mechanical power transmissions; painting; plumbing; carpentry; or engine repair.
Other Skills and/or Abilities:
  • Uses personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training-basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
Safety:

Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those affected by work.

Complete all required and assigned HSE training at a satisfactory level.

Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements at all times.

Participate in all HSE-related programs and activities as required.

Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury and/or stop work if required.
