Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a driven and ambitious individual to join a Multi-National Tier 1 Contractor in London.

The successful candidate will work on projects with budgets ranging from £500,000 to £50,000,000 within the civil engineering sector, encompassing highways, structures, infrastructure, and associated works. Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar is essential.

  • 3 Years' Experience in Civil Engineering working on highways, structures, and infrastructure is required.
  • Procurement skills are necessary, including Procurement Schedule, BoQ's / Enquiries, Analysis, Subcontracts.
  • Value Engineering requires knowledge of Materials, Design, Construction Techniques, and Others.
  • Main Contract Administration involves Standard Forms, Change Control, Dispute, Maximise Value etc.
  • Cost Reporting necessitates using Costing Databases – Maxcel etc, CVRs, Cashflows.
  • Construction Knowledge includes Types of Build / Technologies.
  • Final Accounts / Negotiating are also required.
  • Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.

Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts are key responsibilities.
