About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Software and Deployment Specialist to join our Information Services team at Notts (Nottinghamshire) Police.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deploy, and manage software applications, vendor updates, security patches, and operating system upgrades to ensure proactive cyber threat management.
  • Manage the packaging, testing, updating, and distribution of licensed applications and software products, as well as the management of the software library.
  • Deploy anti-virus products, patches, and updates according to manufacturer recommendations and the Force Security Policy to servers and end-user devices.
  • Maintain, develop, and deploy changes to group policy, task sequences, and configuration environments for hardware builds, operating systems, and software inventory.
Requirements
  • A structured approach to investigations, problem analysis, and report production, including recommendations.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, implementing solutions, and developing procedures to defend and recover.
  • Experience in administering effective solutions to meet organization-wide customer requirements and proposals, with in-depth technical expertise and awareness of specialized IT systems and relevant new developments in the information technology market.
