Job Description

This is a fixed-term position (until December 2024/February 2025) for a full-time Reception Teacher with three formentry. The successful candidate will start in November 2024 and will be remunerated on a London MPS1 UPS3 salary.

  • Develop, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the diverse needs of children, focusing specifically on EY (reception) curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing consistent feedback and setting EY (reception) improvement targets.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respectful behavior and positive relationships among EY (reception) children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on EY (reception) student progress and address any concerns specific to EY (reception).
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. They will have proven experience teaching EY (reception) children in a primary school setting and excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners, dedication to ongoing professional development, and flexibility to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
