Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Science Technician to join our team at St Joseph's RC High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and providing support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and make available laboratory equipment and materials as requested by staff.
  • Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, including poisons, radioactive sources, and corrosive liquids.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
  • Provide support to staff and students, including making them aware of relevant health and safety information.
  • Advise on the availability and suitability of chemicals for use in experiments.
Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a good working knowledge of science and laboratory practices. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be adaptable and self-motivated.
