About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Rubber Duck Cars. As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance and repair, utilizing your technical knowledge to test, diagnose, and resolve faults.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Utilize technical knowledge to test, diagnose, and resolve faults
  • Suggest and implement improvements to processes
  • Work on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Inspect components for wear and tear
  • Repair and replace parts
  • Check vehicle subsystems
  • Liaise with customers where necessary
  • Support other technicians in the workshop
Requirements
  • Knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work to the highest quality standards
  • Excellent team player and communication skills
  • Maintain high standards of house-keeping
  • Prior experience in working to efficiency targets
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable, but not essential
  • VOSA-approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
  • Must hold Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent
