About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team at WAE Technologies Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing preventive and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance to manufacturing equipment, fixtures and fittings, as well as building systems and any business supporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining a fully populated and working Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Follow the maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed and compliance can be demonstrated
  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, including moving and installing new equipment
  • Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on complex systems, including robots, relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders
  • Communicate with departments to organize Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities
  • Conduct weekly checks as required, including yard checks, fire doors, emergency exits, and legionella
  • Perform minor building fabric repairs, decorating, and general ad-hoc tasks
  • Work closely with Health and Safety to ensure compliance
  • Perform Fire Marshall and First Aid duties
  • Manage contractor control activities

Requirements

  • Experience in CMMS and IT skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels (written & verbal)
  • Practical skills and experience in Electrical & Mechanical and/or Multi-skill qualifications
  • Able to complete tasks right first time, within a pre-determined timescale
  • Positive and proactive approach, with good customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to work independently (as well as within a team), with self-motivation and the ability to organize and prioritize own workload, develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and contractor control management
  • Physically fit, with the ability to manually handle items and use ladders
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a way to help the department and the business
  • Clean driving license
