Personal Tax Senior Role

We are working with a successful accountancy practice in Newbury to find a skilled Personal Tax Senior to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role involves preparing self-assessment returns from client documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of client information, and making necessary enquiries. You will also be responsible for reviewing the work of junior staff, managing online filing with HMRC, and maintaining tax return progress records.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining client tax payments within the IRIS computer system, keeping clients informed of required payments, and completing annual tax planning reviews to identify tax-saving opportunities.

To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience working in personal tax for an accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare self-assessment returns from client documentation
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of client information
  • Review work of junior staff
  • Manage online filing with HMRC
  • Maintain tax return progress records
  • Maintain client tax payments within IRIS
  • Keep clients informed of required payments
  • Complete annual tax planning reviews
