Weston Hospicecare is seeking a visionary Director of Fundraising to spearhead the development of a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a high-performing fundraising team, fostering excellent working relationships throughout the organization, and driving the implementation of a fundraising plan that will significantly increase voluntary income. Key responsibilities include leading a team to deliver financial targets, managing major donors, and negotiating high-value fundraising partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in fundraising, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of GDPR legislation and the Fundraising Code of Conduct. As a strategic leader, the Director of Fundraising will be responsible for translating the organization's vision into clear direction for the team and line reports. The role requires a strong ability to work at both strategic and operational levels, including project planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The successful candidate will be a visible, motivational leader with excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills. The postholder will be expected to attend Board meetings and relevant sub-committee meetings.
