Harwoods Ltd is a leading automotive retail group that has been serving the South East of England since 1931.

We are currently seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join our team, based in the South East region. This role will involve undertaking Class IV MOT tests to the government standards and ensuring all documentation is completed promptly.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have the relevant MOT Tester qualification, City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation, and competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.

They will also be required to maintain tools whether own or company in a safe and clean condition, ensure all requirements of Harwoods health and safety procedures are maintained, and report additional faults requiring attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Class IV MOT tests adhering to strict DVSA/Government guidelines
  • Report additional faults requiring attention
  • Complete a full write up of work completed
  • Maintain tools whether own or company in a safe and clean condition
  • Ensure all requirements of Harwoods health and safety procedures are maintained

Requirements:

  • Hold the relevant MOT Tester qualification
  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
  • Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Smart appearance

Desirable Experience:

  • Relevant manufacturer experience
