Commercial Lawyer Opportunity at Arbuthnot Yon

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Arbuthnot Yon, a leading business with a turnover of over £2bn and 7,000 employees in the UK alone.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Form part of a large established in-house team, working closely with commercial teams to advise on commercial contracts, IT, IP, and data protection areas.
  • Project manage large-scale commercial projects with a value in the 100s of millions, overseeing strategy, project management, and drafting and negotiation of bids and tenders.
  • Draft and negotiate high-value contracts relating to goods and services agreements, out-sourcing agreements, consultancy, and technology-related agreements.
  • Advise on innovation projects, including joint ventures, collaborations, and spin-offs, as well as GDPR-related risk and ad-hoc legal areas such as IP, data protection, and disputes.
Requirements:
  • At least 3/4 years' PQE gained in-house or in private practice.
  • Strong commercial contract law skills with good negotiation skills.
  • Experience in project management, procurement, IT, or data protection is beneficial.
