Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to join our team in Manchester. The successful candidate will report to the Group Tax & Treasury Director and work closely with the Tax & Treasury Team and wider Group Finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide day-to-day tax support to local markets and maintain tax technical awareness in relevant territories.
  2. Review and support interim and year-end reporting, including preparation of tax disclosures for consolidated group accounts with support from outsourced advisors.
  3. Liaise with external auditors as part of interim and year-end reporting.
  4. Ensure compliance with local indirect taxes, such as preparation of Plastic Packaging Returns, and support for VAT returns prepared by Finance colleagues.
  5. Support quarterly PZ Cussons tax payments in the UK, as well as UK tax cashflow and tax accounting/balances.
  6. Support development of Group Transfer Pricing Policy and Processes.
  7. Manage relationships with external advisors, including HMRC, auditors, and tax advisors.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Tax advisor preferred – CTA, ATT or equivalent.
  2. Strong technical accounting understanding.
  3. Knowledge of UK corporate tax matters in the context of a large group environment.
  4. Experience in international tax, including reorganisations, WHT, and transfer pricing.
About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate technical accounting and tax concepts to non-tax professionals. We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
