Job Purpose:The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a therapeutic, trauma-informed model of care to children aged 5-12 years. This role involves working in a residential setting, providing support and guidance to children with complex social, emotional, and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment, promoting the child's sense of security and well-being.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to care and support.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and external agencies to ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as trauma-informed care, child development, and behavioral management.
- HNC in Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Two years' experience in the social care sector, preferably in residential childcare.
- Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
