About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead CMF Designer to join our team at ghd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our product's color, materials, and finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trend research to identify emerging colors, materials, and finishes that align with our brand's aesthetic and values.
- Develop and manage a library of CMF inspiration, including color palettes, swatch samples, and material specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CMF design choices meet technical and business requirements.
- Communicate design intent and specifications to suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Review and approve limit samples to ensure quality and color consistency across multiple suppliers.
- Work with the studio team to ensure campaign imagery and product photography align with our brand's visual identity.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Design, Textiles, Fashion, or a related field.
- Proven experience in CMF design for manufacture, preferably in a design consultancy or consumer products company.
- Strong technical skills in 2D CAD, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and 3D CAD, including Keyshot rendering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret briefs and ideas.
- Ability to work autonomously, plan and organize workload, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
