About the Role

As a Medical Administrator at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to undertake administrative duties at ward level, ensuring that patient activity data is accurately recorded and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter patient admission, transfer, and discharge information onto the Trust's electronic patient administration system (PAS) with precision and speed.
  • Respond to telephone calls from various stakeholders, providing clear and concise information as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that relevant documents are stored securely.
  • Coordinate the transfer of pathology and other reports to patients' records, adhering to Trust protocols.
  • Provide support to patients and visitors, assisting with queries and concerns in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment, reporting any incidents or near misses promptly.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals, fostering a positive and supportive team culture.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic patient administration systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits and Salary

The salary range for this position is £25,500 - £32,000 per annum, based on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and access to employee wellbeing programmes.
