We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to lead our team in providing specialist trauma-informed mental health support to young people with complex needs in our residential home, Hockley House. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work closely with our Specialist CAMHS team to implement therapeutic care plans and support residential staff in using Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) skills to provide trauma-informed parenting and practice.
Main Responsibilities- Lead on clinical matters for young people and develop policy relating to therapeutic care practice in partnership with CAMHS.
- Support all staff in implementing trauma-informed care through the use of PACE to build relationships, understand underlying behaviors, and help young people feel safe.
- Offer specialist mental health consultation and advice to all staff.
- Assess and manage ongoing risks for young people in collaboration with them and their carers.
- Lead on the implementation of care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Supervise clinical team members and offer group supervision/reflective practice to all staff.
- Ensure staff within the service area are compliant with regulatory body regulations.
- Lead on audits to ensure clinical staff complete mandatory training as required.

Person Specification- Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Allied Health Professional, Psychologist, or Psychotherapist with current registration (mental health, LD, Adult) appropriate to the job role.
- Extensive post-qualifying experience in a relevant service area, including supervising staff and students.
- Able to manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of interventions specific to the service area and awareness of Trust policies and service specifications.
- Lived experience of mental health issues.
