We are seeking a skilled Backend Web Developer to join our team at Appoint Consulting Recruitment Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting WordPress websites, with a focus on LearnDash and WooCommerce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain WordPress websites, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Develop and implement custom WordPress plugins, with a focus on extending existing plugins such as WooCommerce and LearnDash.
  • Contribute to larger custom PHP/MySQL development projects as needed.
  • Help prioritize tasks on the Kanban board and share best practices with lean, agile methodology within the business.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in backend development, specifically within the WordPress and WooCommerce ecosystem.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a remote position.
  • Strong knowledge of coding, including PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Linux command-line tools, including WP-CLI.
  • Competence working independently, while also being flexible, willing to learn, and a good team player.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with custom WordPress plugin development.
  • Knowledge of Laravel and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with web application firewalls and website performance analysis.
  • Specific WordPress plugin experience with WP All Import/Export.
