Job Details

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: North East Fire and Rescue Authority

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum, plus company van and fuel card

Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm

On-call Rota: 1 in 4 weeks, covering 24 hours, with standby payment and relevant hourly rate

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure facilities are maintained to the required standards, as specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and Redcar and Cleveland Council.
  2. Carry out planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work, either independently or as an assistant to a maintenance tradesperson, on:
  3. Service and reactive repair of lighting and power distribution systems, motors, and pumps.
  4. Competent on BMS control systems and PAT tester.
  5. Perform maintenance duties in a manner that supports the objectives of the client and respects the dignity and privacy of the resident group.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Qualified Electrician with reasonable experience in a maintenance role within a commercial setting.
  2. City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
  3. 18th Edition City and Guilds certification.
  4. Experience in electrical power distribution systems and preferred experience in electrical testing.
  5. Valid UK Driving Licence required.
  6. DBS Check prior to starting the job.
