Principal Consultant

RINA Defence Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Maritime Safety Engineering Expert to join our specialist team. As a key member of our Defence sector team, you will be responsible for leading a variety of Maritime Safety Engineering projects to ensure requirements are delivered on time, to budget, and to the required quality.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects either as an individual or managing a small team.
• Support with bids, proposals, analysis and report writing.
• Promote RINA's Safety capability to customers, providing expert counsel, through face-to-face liaison, relationship building and presentations.
• Assist the Safety management team with augmenting safety capability to meet new and emerging market demands.

Qualifications & experience:

• At least ten years' experience in the application of safety engineering management solutions in high hazard environments.
• Knowledge of UK MOD (Defence) maritime / naval platforms.
• Experience in conducting Hazard & Safety Risk Analysis or Independent Safety Assurance (ISA) projects and have developed safety cases.
• Experience in the use and application of Safety Engineering tools such as Reliability Workbench, ASCE, BowTie, ETA or FTA.
