About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at One YMCA. As an Airplay Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering outreach and centre-based youth work to young people aged 5-18 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of a range of youth work programs and activities, including outreach and centre-based initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Station Youth Worker to develop and implement youth work strategies and plans.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to engage in activities and develop their skills and interests.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and the local community.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of youth work policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people aged 5-18 years in a youth work setting.
  • Knowledge of youth work principles and practices, including the Airplay Theory of Change and YMCA Youth Work Strategy and Principles.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the development of the service.
