Software Engineer - Algo Trading

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our low latency trading team in London.


Our client is a leading trading firm that specializes in quant prop trading and market-making. They are currently expanding their high and intraday trading presence across FX, equities, and commodities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Trading and the Quant Team to design and develop new trading algorithms, primarily in Java and C++.
  • Contribute to the development of a new greenfield low latency trading platform.
  • Work on connectivity to Financial Exchanges.
  • Improve and maintain existing strategies.
  • Develop utility applications and Excel tools to support trading activities.
  • Work closely with traders to understand requirements for new applications and strategies, and resolve any issues that arise.


This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Software Engineer to join a growing trading business at a time of significant growth in the sector. You will gain extensive experience in High Frequency Trading.


Our client is based in the heart of the City of London, offering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.


Requirements:
  • Computer Science or Machine Learning degree from a top 40 university globally.
  • Excellent Java and/or C++ experience.
  • SQL skills.
  • Strong understanding of general programming concepts and a diligent coding approach.
  • Interest in capital markets and/or crypto market making is a plus.
  • FIX experience is beneficial.
