Job Overview

GAP Group LTD is seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in the success of our nationwide Plant and Tool division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend customer sites and breakdowns to maintain, identify, and repair faults or damage to GAP fleet equipment.
  • Ensure the efficient servicing and maintenance of a variety of plant and tools within the GAP fleet.
  • Update service records accurately and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter in a field-based role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served.
  • Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A customer-focused approach and a committed team player.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
