Ecological Project Manager

As a Community Ecologist at Penguin Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a variety of ecological projects, providing expert guidance on environmental assessments and biodiversity strategies. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Lead and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects, ensuring high-quality project delivery and fostering strong client relationships.
- Field Work: Conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring, utilizing your knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning regulations.
- Writing Reports: Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies, utilizing your proficiency in ecological survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work with a positive impact.
- Compliance: Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards, demonstrating your strong understanding of best practices in ecological management.
- Experience: Experience within an ecological consultancy or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
- Qualifications: Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline, with a master's degree or PhD being advantageous.
- Skills: Proficient in ecological survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing, with a strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning regulations.
- Ecology Knowledge: Strong understanding of best practices in ecological management, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a variety of project settings.
