Job Title: HLTA Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled HLTA to support a small group of 14-16-year-olds who have faced disruptions in their education and are no longer able to take their exams in a mainstream setting.

Job Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with mainstream education experience who understand the academic and behavioural requirements needed for student success. You'll be working with young people who have struggled to stay on the right path and are in need of someone committed to making a real difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support small class sizes of 4-6 students, fostering strong relationships
  • Work with a team to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide academic and emotional support to students with complex needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless transitions
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in SEN/SEMH classroom settings
  • Current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
