Quality Control Specialist

Company Overview: We are currently searching for a highly motivated Quality Control Specialist - Supplier Management to join our team in Telford, where you will play a key role in ensuring our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Salary: £38,000 - £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Engineering team to develop and implement supplier quality management processes that ensure our products meet the required standards.
As a Quality Control Specialist - Supplier Management, you will be responsible for conducting supplier validation audits, working with suppliers to develop advanced product quality planning (APQP), and assisting in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.
You'll also be responsible for facilitating root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues, performing on-site supplier visits, and collating and evaluating supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
- Conduct supplier validation audits and work with suppliers to develop APQP.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop and implement supplier quality management processes.
- Assist in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
- Perform on-site supplier visits and collate and evaluate supplier quality data.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you'll also promote the use of customer quality techniques for continuous improvement, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
You'll provide concise, complete, and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to your area of responsibility and facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers.
As a key member of our team, you'll assist the Quality Manager in monitoring and reporting on supplier product quality and performance, assist with training of quality awareness, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent non-conformity.
You'll also lead quality audits, undertake special projects as required, and maintain quality control of work through appropriate reviews.
Finally, you'll write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients, plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented, and undertake personal continuous training and development.
