Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Gloucester manufacturing site. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead technical troubleshooting and drive measurable solutions to improve production quality.
  • To characterise and optimise manufacturing processes using tools like PFMEA.
  • To analyse trends and provide insights to drive smarter decisions and enhance performance.
  • To spearhead process development and fine-tuning, including impregnation, pressing, and blown film lines.
  • To champion innovation and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
  • To work closely with R&D and design teams to ensure smooth product transitions into manufacturing.
  • To oversee the set-up of specifications, procedures, and instructions for new products.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an HNC in a relevant science or engineering field.
  • Previous experience in technical manufacturing engineering roles is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach to shifting demands and processes.
  • A keen focus on detail, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead technical projects.
