The Role: Transforming the Way People Experience Work

At Personio, we're revolutionizing the way HR operates to transform the way millions of people experience work every day. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff IAM Engineer to join our Product & Technology team, where we design, develop, and deliver innovative and high-quality products.

About the Position

  • Technical Leadership: Define the technical strategy for our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team and drive technical alignment across the organization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to holistically define problems, research options, and implement robust, scalable solutions.
  • Drive Execution: Hands-on work across the team and organization to create exceptional customer value.
  • Growth & Development: Lead and mentor engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering growth across the organization.
  • Community: Implement best practices for platform features, high availability, reliability, and more, creating a center of technical excellence.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Staff or Principal Engineer, building and designing highly scalable and resilient systems.
  • Industry experience with Identity and Access management technologies, practices, and standards.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and hiring.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes (k8s), Postgres, Redis, and AWS technologies like SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and more.
