Job Title: Chief Underwriting Officer AUM

At Aon, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Underwriting Officer to lead our AUM business. As a key member of our Executive Leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the underwriting strategy and innovation for AUM, one of the largest organically grown MGA businesses in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the underwriting strategy for AUM, ensuring alignment with Aon's global business objectives.
  • Lead the ACT underwriting team, providing strategic input into growth planning and portfolio performance management.
  • Collaborate with UK, EMEA, and Global Commercial Risk leaders to develop and implement underwriting solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of digital and algorithmic underwriting capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
  • Build and lead a high-performing underwriting team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of underwriting experience in short or long tail business, with a deep understanding of insurance products.
  • Portfolio management experience, with a focus on North American large and CAT exposed property and casualty.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lloyd's market dynamics, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
  • Experience in exposure management and aggregate controls, as well as the operation of delegated authorities.
  • A change agent with a desire to modernize and drive innovation in underwriting practices.
  • Strong social and communications skills, with the ability to lead a complex stakeholder network.
