Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Officers Mess, Baker Barracks, Thorney Island. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of meals to the highest standards.

• Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Work well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating effectively
• Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a range of meals
• Complete daily paperwork to cover due diligence
• Assist with deliveries and stock checks
• Place food orders and maintain kitchen records
• Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries
• Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
• Full knowledge of all menu items served
• Management of production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage
• Act as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks

• Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent)
• Excellent team player and communicator
• A confident chef
• Security checks & DBS required for this role
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate
