">Job Description
">As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies. You will conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring.
">You will prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on ecological issues is also key to this role.
">Mentoring and supporting junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment is essential.
">Ensuring projects comply with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards is crucial.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">You have experience within an ecological consultancy or related field. A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline is required, while a master's degree or PhD is advantageous.
">Proficiency in ecological survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing is necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
">A strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation, planning regulations, and best practices in ecological management is vital.
