About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist in the Pelvic Health speciality within the MSK service. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to work independently managing a pelvic health clinical caseload, with the support of the Pelvic Health clinical lead and senior clinicians and mentors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a pelvic health clinical caseload, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the service.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pelvic Health team to deliver a comprehensive service, including participating in clinical audit, research, and clinical supervision and mentoring.
  • Contribute to the education and mentoring of rotational staff and physiotherapy students on placement from Cardiff University and the University of South Wales.
  • Participate in staff development through local and Health Board-wide education, including core and advanced skills training programmes.
Requirements
  • Diploma/degree in physiotherapy and registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Appropriate range of postgraduate education and training, including MCSP.
  • Broad range of clinical experience, including a comprehensive Band 5 rotation and experience of participating in and delivering in-service training programmes.
  • Varied range of clinical experience within the musculoskeletal speciality, including experience of staff supervision and evidence of having worked in the UK as a HPC-registered physiotherapist.
  • Evidence of having worked unsupervised, participated in on-call and seven-day service provision, and held a previous Band 6 position.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to discuss the clinical reasoning process in the management of routine and complex cases.
  • Awareness of relevant national clinical guidelines and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate initiative, and good time management.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development sufficient to meet HPC requirements and evidence of teaching at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • IT literate and able to adapt to changes in work routine.
