The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience of carrying out financial/business appraisals, and a proven track record of building relationships with small businesses, providing advice and guidance, and brokering appropriate business support. You will also have experience of working in partnership with a range of private/public sector agencies and be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline or have significant relevant experience.
We are looking for an authoritative self-starter with a passion for helping businesses grow and thrive. As a Business and Enterprise Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with businesses across a range of sectors and sizes, ensuring that enterprise support at the district level is inclusive and accessible to all demographic groups.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of Business Advisors to deliver enterprise support to Wakefield district-based businesses
- Building relationships with small businesses, providing advice and guidance, and brokering appropriate business support
- Carrying out financial/business appraisals and providing recommendations for business growth and development
- Working in partnership with a range of private/public sector agencies to deliver enterprise support
