About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Project Manager to join our team at Forest Carbon Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out carbon calculations and assessing the carbon potential of new projects
  • Assessing the additionality case for new nature-based projects
  • Creation, integration, and analysis of geospatial data and mapping for project sites
  • Working with Salesforce and Xero project management platforms
  • Liaising with farmers and land managers about the options available to them with regards to carbon income
  • Assisting with Woodland Carbon Code & Peatland Code validations and verifications and liaising with certification bodies
  • Occasional site visits and verification surveys
  • Compiling proposals for clients and issuing invoices
  • Attending trade shows and events across the UK to promote Forest Carbon
  • Supporting the team with bespoke consultancy projects
  • Supporting the team on carbon sales conversations and opportunities
  • Supporting the team in arranging and hosting partner site visits
  • Researching emerging standards, policy, associated compliance, and external affairs

Requirements:

  • Organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • GIS mapping (QGIS or ArcGIS)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
  • Valid and clean UK Driving License or willingness to secure this
