Community and Events Fundraising Opportunity

Merrifield Consultants is partnering with Young Epilepsy to find a Community and Events Fundraising Manager. This role involves developing an exciting community events portfolio, including successful representation at the annual Carfest festival.

The position will be remote, but requires regular visits to London and Lingfield, Surrey. Initially, it's a 30-hour per week role, with potential for full-time.

Job Title: Community and Events Fundraising Manager
Organisation: Young Epilepsy
Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships
Salary: £40,000 pro-rata (potentially £80,000 full-time)
Location: Remote with regular visits to London and Lingfield, Surrey

About the Role

Epilepsy affects over 100,000 children and young people across the UK. This role plays a vital part in harnessing community support to raise funds for Young Epilepsy.

This position leads a team of fundraisers responsible for engaging communities through events and fundraising activities across the UK. It involves building relationships with individuals, groups, and businesses who share a passion for the charity's work.

Main Responsibilities

The Community and Events Manager will develop and manage a community events portfolio, including successful representation at the annual Carfest festival. Another key element of the role is supporting a new fundraising programme for the St Piers School and College in Lingfield, Surrey.

  2. Experience working in a target-driven environment
  3. Experience working with volunteers
  4. Event management experience
  5. Experience delivering against financial targets within specified deadlines
