About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities and deep industry experience, bridging the gap between business context and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and optimise data collection processes to gather relevant and high-quality data for various projects within climate tech, health, energy, and sustainable farming domains.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurately captured from multiple sources, including experimental, clinical, and public datasets.
  3. Assess data quality and establish robust data validation procedures to ensure data integrity throughout the analysis pipeline.
  4. Develop and apply data quality frameworks tailored to machine learning use cases, focusing on data completeness, accuracy, and reliability.
  5. Act as a vital link between engineers, scientists, and the applied AI team, facilitating seamless communication and data flow across the entire drug discovery process.
  6. Support interdisciplinary projects by translating complex data requirements into actionable insights and providing clear guidance on data use.
  7. Guide the data acquisition strategy based on a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics, emerging trends, and scientific advancements.
  8. Identify new data sources and partnerships that can enhance the company's data capabilities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a data analyst within an elite organisation.
  • Proven track record in handling complex datasets, particularly in the context of drug discovery, biomedical research, agriculture, clean energy, government.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation tools such as Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
