We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at SER Limited, a leading Main Contractor based in the South East of England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site audits and health and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Review and update existing risk assessments and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Issue RAMs (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and CCPs (Construction Phase Plans) for site working.
- Work with Contracts Managers to assist in regulatory audits and external accreditation processes.
- Monitor and maintain training records, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure the use of equipment and PPE to minimize risk and maintain company HSE records.
- Deliver toolbox talks to promote health and safety awareness among employees and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Effective planning, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Relevant professional qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Comprehensive understanding of legal regulations pertaining to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably including CDM knowledge.
