Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Senior Leadership Team in developing a vibrant learning community that fosters excellence in learning and promotes the well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising achievement and attainment in children
- Demonstrate excellent educational knowledge and a sound understanding of the wider curriculum, phonics, and early reading to mentor colleagues and improve teaching and learning
- Have a sound understanding and successful experience of teaching across the primary age range
- Support the Senior Leadership Team in developing a curriculum that promotes excellence in learning and addresses the needs of all students
- Be enthusiastic, committed to teamwork, and able to forge excellent relationships within and beyond the school community
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to motivate and inspire colleagues and students
- Have excellent leadership and management skills
- Have consistently high expectations for behavior
- Be committed to developing excellence in learning within an exciting primary curriculum
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills to engage with all stakeholders
- Be experienced in taking the lead on whole-school curriculum developments
- Be passionate about seizing opportunities for the school and its community
