Pastoral Mentor

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Mentor to work on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis in SEMH/SEND schools located in Rugeley.

We are seeking professionals with experience working with challenging students and a desire to transition into a school environment.

The school requires additional staff due to increased student referrals necessitating extra support for 1:1 and general classroom assistance.

1. Provide pastoral and personal development support to pupils out of the classroom.
2. Manage the behavior of pupils sent out of class freeing up other teaching assistants.
3. Patrol the school while working with pupils not in class for any reason.
4. A positive and flexible approach to work is crucial.
5. Experience within an SEMH school or setting is highly beneficial.

In return, the successful Pastoral Mentors will receive:

• A high level of support provided by your dedicated SEND Consultant.
• Free CPD advice and support.

Our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis ensuring the correct level of Tax and National Insurance without admin charges deducted from their earnings.
