Chemistry Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Chemistry Teacher to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Greenwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching General Science and Chemistry to students at KS3 – KS5.

About the Role

This is a full-time position starting in November 2024. The school is committed to providing a supportive and dynamic learning environment, with a strong focus on Science Specialism. The successful candidate will be part of a team that benefits from the school's Mathematics & Science Specialism, with 15 modern and well-equipped laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching General Science and Chemistry to students at KS3 – KS5
  • Developing and delivering engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to the development of Science curriculum
  • Supporting students in their academic and personal development

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Science Specialism (Chemistry)
  • A proactive and engaging teaching approach
  • Understanding of the requirements for high-quality teaching
  • Ability to use ICT effectively
  • Ability to fulfil the requirements of a Form Tutor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Excellent administration skills and the ability to meet deadlines
