About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Niftylift Ltd, a leading manufacturer of mobile elevated work platforms. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of our products, working closely with our engineering team to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Interpret product and sub-system requirements into functional design specifications, generate electrical and software architectures, and produce high-level design concepts to meet specified requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Oversee the work of Engineers, sign off technical content, and support the commissioning of products.
  • Project Management: Manage project work, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and interface with other areas of the Engineering function to ensure the efficient integration of the control system into the wider product.
Requirements
  • A strong academic background and a degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in electrical system design and development for complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience in using design tools such as AutoCAD and CREO.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring Engineers.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming using CODESYS and Functional Safety.
  • Chartered Engineer, or working towards Chartered status with a UK Professional Engineering Institution.
