Accounts Semi-Senior Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of accounts for clients, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and tax returns.
  • Work with clients to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on financial planning and management.
  • Use accounting software, such as Sage and QuickBooks, to manage client accounts and prepare financial statements.
  • Support clients with VAT returns, personal tax returns, and bookkeeping.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in accounting, preferably in a practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including tax compliance and financial planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage and QuickBooks.
  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
