About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Trade Planning Assistant to join our team on a part-time contract for a fixed term period of 12 months.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Use analytical data to drive business decisions and ensure a great customer proposition across all channels.
  2. Apply customer understanding to the Events programme to optimize space, sales, and customer perception.
  3. Communicate and deliver critical path priorities, escalating risks or issues to your manager in a timely manner.
  4. Develop relationships with Retail, Product, Customer, and SRD teams.
  5. Stay up-to-date on competitor promotions and events across all channels.
  6. Review trends and make recommendations for improvement by channel (stores and online).
  7. Adhere to Tesco policies, storage, and handover protocols, and complete required training.
Your Skills and Experience
  1. Range development and trade planning expertise.
  2. Merchandise planning or buying experience.
  3. Critical path management skills.
  4. Proven track record of making decisions based on market data.
  5. Analytical and data interpretation skills.
  6. Influencing and communication skills.
  7. Operational skills, including commercial and financial acumen, stakeholder management, and project management.
