Role Overview: As a Cyber Security Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with our technical and engineering teams to oversee and validate the cybersecurity engineering processes related to our products and services. You will be instrumental in advising and supporting leadership in enhancing cybersecurity practices and maturity within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Cyber Security Design Authority across various programs, reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Thales UK Cyber Engineering Governance and processes across all business line activities.
  • Facilitate the development of cybersecurity maturity within the business line, including knowledge transfer and skill enhancement for senior staff.
  • Evaluate and assure the cybersecurity components of products and solutions throughout their lifecycle, including assessing key cybersecurity strategies and engineering artifacts.
  • Provide expert guidance on relevant policies and standards applicable to industrial applications.
  • Advise on technology selection and its implications for security and cyber risks.

Essential Skills:

We are looking for experienced Cyber Security professionals who possess:

  • Experience in multi-stakeholder environments with the ability to influence outcomes effectively.
  • A structured approach to identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigating security risks.
  • Experience guiding teams through formal assurance and acceptance processes, including collaboration with external organizations.
  • A secure-by-design mindset throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • A solid understanding of key cybersecurity technologies and their application.
  • The ability to articulate the differences between cybersecurity and cyber resilience strategies.

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous roles in senior Cyber Security Engineering positions such as Principal Engineer, Architect, or Design Authority.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with a focus on security risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Collaboration with external partners and accreditation bodies.
  • Experience applying cybersecurity principles to operational technology, Internet of Things, and embedded systems.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CISSP Certification
  • CCP Architect Certification
  • SABSA Chartered Security Architect – Foundation & Practitioner
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status
