About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Initialize IT as a Lead iOS Software Engineer - Performance Optimization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-performance iOS applications and ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, ensuring the development of high-quality, performant iOS applications.
  • Code Review and Optimization: Conduct thorough code reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve application performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design and development teams, to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and to identify and correct bottlenecks.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Mentor and support the personal growth of other colleagues, encouraging efficiency in their roles and sharing knowledge to improve team performance.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our products remain at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong experience with Swift, familiarity with Objective-C and its runtime, and experience with common iOS architecture patterns, including MVVM.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Familiarity with testing capabilities (XCTest including unit and UI tests) and approaches, as well as experience with CI/CD automation.
  • Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodologies, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Swift UI to develop rich User Interfaces, experience with Combine or other reactive frameworks, and prior experience with React Native or Expo.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cryptography and Cryptographic Services: Experience with cryptography and cryptographic services on iOS.
